Situated on the valleys of central Mallorca, surrounded by almond groves and pine trees and just a five-minute drive from the lovely town of Sineu, Es Pla affords unrivaled privacy and fantastic views. This vibrant town of Sineu has a wide variety of grocery stores, bars and several notable restaurants, as well as a food and livestock market that is held here every Wednesday. The nearest beach is a 30-minute drive away thanks to the central location of Es Pla on the island, which allow one to explore the precious rocky coves of the West, as well as sunbath on the flat sandy beaches further south (you will find a book where we have gathered some information about many of the island's activities and you are encouraged to add to the book with your own recommendations and findings. Woven into the Mallorquin landscape, Es Pla has all its rooms strung out on 1 level, for maximum privacy. The wide, open view, facing directly to the South, starts your day with the sun rising on the terrace, closing the day with a nice shady afternoon. Designed by Scandinavian architects Jarmund / Vigsnæs Architects (in cooperation with Albisu - Pradell Arquitectos, Barcelona), they've focused on positioning Villa Es Pla in the landscape plus using natural materials, to create this simple yet modern finca. The property used to be an old almond farm; the house is placed between this field and a green terraced hill of large pines. We've been careful not to damage any of the original pine trees and we have replanted some young almond trees to keep the landscape in the original form and planted various fruit trees. In Mallorca, almond trees blossom in February and it's a fantastic sight to see the whole island clothed in pinkish white.
